Getting ready for Christmas

We made it back from Michigan. As soon as we got home Douglas and Dana could not wait to put up the Christmas decorations. So we pulled ou all the boxes and got right to work. They were so proud of their hard work as they helped in hanging the ornaments on the tree.

We are ready for Santa now. Although we will not be home for Christmas, we can still enjoy the spirit of it. We will be traveling down south to have Christmas with my family. The kids can hardly wait. Each morning Mike and I get woke up to a soft little voice saying " Mommy can we open the presents under the tree and Santa can put more there later." Of course we say no and they get terribly upset, but they will have more fun waaiting and getting all the giftsat once on Christmas morning.

Hope all has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Hope to see all soon.

Happy Thanksgiving

I just want to take a moment and wish all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did as we all went to Michigan for Thanksgiving. All the family was there and we all got to enjoy the new baby Gavin and enjoy in seeing each other since we had not see one another since July.

Hope all was fun and everyone was thankful all the love in their lives.

Halloween

Halloween at the home of the Hazelrigg's. We had a cute little ladybug and very scary werewolf. We had a blast with the kids. We toured our neighborhood and then crossed the street to the next neighborhood. The kids got so much candy and had a geat time going door to door. I dressed up as a Woo Hoo with the kids. I had funny hair with hair paint in it along with wacky make-up. No pictures of me..sorry. Hope all had a great and safe time. Miss all those friends of mine who moved, and the family that lives so far away.

New addition in Michigan

We had a new addition added on October 27. My brother and sister in-law had their first born. A beautiful little boy named Gavin Reece. He came in weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces. 21 inches long. We will be going up on Thanksgiving to visit and meet the little guy. Can not wait. I will include photos of Gavin with Mom Christy, Dad Dave and dog Thor.

The end is near......

The end of Mike's college days are near. His last day of class is on this coming Monday. After a math test he will get his degree. YAY!! We are all very excited and can not wait to see where it takes him within the company.

As for the kiddies. They are doing great and getting bigger every day. Douglas is doing great in school. Getting better at reading and sounding out words. He is writing better everyday. This week he is the STAR student of the class. He got to take 6 things that start with the letter "Mm". The letter of the week. And he got to color a poster all about him with his picture on it, and take a show and tell each day. He was really excited to do this all week.

Dana is talking much clearer her words come out really clear. She has discovered her voice and sings all the time. She loves to play outside and harass Dakota. My day is full all the time. She is learning colors and and count to 5. She can also say some of her ABC's. Also, she has learned to skip. What a cute thing to see her do. She is her own little amazing person.

This past Saturday was Douglas' Fall Festival. It was alot of fun. He got to sink his Teacher in the dunking booth. And tried to sink the principal. Mike and Dana came for a little while and had some fun with us. Douglas went up the air in the parachute drop and loved it.

I will post pictures later and give more updates as they happen.

Tae kwon Do testing

On Saturday, September 13, 2008 Douglas attended his belt testing. He done really well. It was a long day but well worth it. He did pass and receive his orange belt. I have not gotten the pictures from the belt ceremony yet, but here are a few pictures of the testing. He had to show that her knew his form of the yellow/orange stripe belt. Also that her knew certain kicks. He had to break a board with his hand and foot. He is now learning self
defense, and will learn new stages of self defense from now on
each new belt. So pretty soon he will know how to defend himself
the proper way. Enjoy the pictures.

new addition

Well we now have a new addition to our family. Her name is Espn Dakota. The kids really love her and Mike has already spoiled her rotten.

Douglas is loving school. and is doing really well. Dana still looks for her Bubbie from time to time. It is cute to watch her walk around the house and yell for him. Mike graduates from college in 5 weeks. Yay....It has been a long road but well worth it in the end.

This past weekend we went to south Georgia to visit family and my grandmother found mine and my sisters dresses from 30 years ago. We took pictures of Dana in them and she was really cute in them. I hope you enjoy them.

Douglas tested a couple of weeks ago in Tae Kwon Do. It was a long day but well worth it in the end. He passed and got his orange belt. He was so proud and can not wait to start learning the new belt form and self defense. I will have photos up soon.

introduction

We are the Hazelrigg's. We have 2 beautiful children. Their ages are 2 and 5. I enjoy scrapbooking, and painting, having fun with my family and friends. We have just recently remodled our home to give us the room we desired. Since construction has been completed we are still trying to figure out what to do with all the extra space. I am sure it will all fill up eventually. With 2 small children and all their toys it will fill up quickly.

My son is in Tae Kwon Do and seems to enjoy it at times and my daughter enjoys making huge messes. I would have it no other way.
